A NEW DOLL CHALLENGE

It has been a long time since I posted in here,I will try to do better.

I am participating on a challenge where we are assigned a partner and send a baggie of goodies to make an art doll, I like to show you what I got in the mail and how very challenging it was for me, because I seldom use the color yellow in my dolls, this time I felt as if Big Bird had landed, no kidding, it worried me a bit. Then I realized that this was a great challenge and felt thankful and energized, I had fun making this doll and I believe it came to me as a symbol...on the day of The Spring Equinox, so I gave her the same name.

Here she is, with many thanks to Angel. Please let me know what you think.

I love this doll, I feel the same way about yellow, I don't use it a lot in my paintings. It is a challenge to use and you used it wonderfully. I looked at that little heap of items, and asked,"how can she do anything with those?" And then there was your doll! Very cool. Lori

Very colorful! Reminds me of the sun, for sure... This will brighten someone's home.

I love the doll I have! :) She is here in my studio keeping me company.

Thanks Lori, Teresa, Laura, I realize color has great influence on the way we feel. I love to stay in the range of blue, purple and green with my paintings. But appreciate the new energy that comes out of warmer tones. I will be making a series of Chackra Dolls (Rainbow Ladies)
