~Winter Solstice~
Noche de Luna Spirit Art Dolls

The solstice night is calm and cloudless, with the full Moon beaming down on a carpet of moss making it  irresistibly attractive and full of magic.

The Winter Solstice is unique among days of the year — the time of the longest night and the shortest day.
Luna de Plata
The dark triumphs but only briefly.
For the Solstice is also a turning point.
From now on until the Summer Solstice.

The nights grow shorter and the days grow longer, the dark wanes and the Sun waxes in power. From the dark womb of the night, the light is born.

Gypsy Moon

This is the time to enjoy a bonfire or a Yule log, dancing and feasting until the first light of dawn is one way to celebrate this turning of the wheel of the year.

Watching the sunrise and the sunset, walking outdoors and connecting with our world are ways to enjoy the day.

Hello Christine, I appreciate your kind words, and I would love to view your creations. Long time ago, one of my painting students gave me a couple of tiny pine needle baskets, I don't know where they went, but since then I have been intrigued by that type of craft. I collect mine in the back yard, mostly dry, and other than small besoms I have never tried to do anything else with them. Do you have images of your work I can view?

Thanks Heather, people like you keep me honest with myself. I want to also thank you for taking the time to ask all those questions, it got me thinking...:) Where am I going, what am I doing next, is it important, do I continue to do the same? We will see.
Sending you all my best, and I hope we continue to communicate. Bright Blessings to you.
